NBC Sports NFL analyst and former NFL QB Chris Simms tells how he got into broadcasting and how he’s been able to rise to the top. Chris not only followed in his father’s footsteps as an NFL quarterback but now is succeeding just like his dad, Phil Simms, in broadcasting. Besides that, he is the co-host of Pro Football Talk (PFT Live) with Mike Florio and The Unbuttoned Podcast.
Chris gets emotional when Rock brings up the day he nearly died on the field as the quarterback of the Buccaneers when his spleen ruptured and he tried to play through the pain. Chris also admits how some players call him out when he’s critical of their play yet never say anything when Chris praises them.
Finally, Rock talks about his Indianapolis experience at the NFL Combine and a story of a 24 year Tampa Bay native that’s NEVER seen an alligator!
