I hope Jovan knows more about elections than he does campaign finance (I doubt it). First, a MI Senator makes about $71k. Second, campaign funds aren’t personal funds. If a politician doesn’t know that, they’ll get indicted (see Duncan Hunter, Jesse Jackson Jr.) or raked over the coals (check out the Mayor of Romulus who used campaign funds to cover the open bar at his daughter’s wedding).
