Andy Freed, one-half of the long-running play-by-play voices of the Tampa Bay Rays, tells Rock Riley how he only had one job he wanted and he’s got it. Since he was a kid growing up in the Baltimore area, Andy practiced being a baseball announcer, how he made it from Towson State University through the minors to Bigs, how his wife has supported him along the way, and how he’s able to get along so well with his radio partner Dave Wills.
Also, Rock talks about buying a baseball mitt, seeing recreational baseball fields locked up, and how the MLB All-Star Game is the best all-star game of all major sports. Finally, he’s got an incredible story about the late IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon and more!
