This week on The MMA Report Podcast, Jason Floyd and Daniel Galvan recap what happened last weekend in MMA, preview this weekend’s fights and Jason has interviews with Chito Vera, Cody Stamann and Nate Smith.
In the opening round, Jason and Daniel recap last weekend’s Bellator 215, Bellator 216 and UFC on ESPN 1. Jason talks about being at the Bellator events, the buzz around the Mohegan Sun on Saturday before Bellator 216, and the guys hits on the UFC heavyweight division following Francis Ngannou’s win against Cain Velasqurez.
In the second round of this week’s show, you will hear Jason’s recent conversations with Chito Vera, Cody Stamann and Nate Smith. Up first is Vera (42:59), who previews his fight next week at UFC 235 against Frankie Saenz. Then, Stamann (53:43) joins the show to discuss his fight at UFC 235 against Alejandro Perez. And in the final interview, Smith (1:07:22) previews his fight this weekend against Bill Kamery at Elite Fight League 3.
And in the final round of this week’s podcast, Jason and Daniel preview this weekend’s UFC on ESPN+3 and Bellator 217. They tell you which fights interest them on these fight cards and end the show by giving their thoughts on the UFC booking an interim middleweight title fight in April between Kelvin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya.
