Welcome to Season 18 of Krush Performance Radio.
As the hockey season gets underway and NHL camps open we kick off season 18 of Krush Performance talking hockey with the Medical and Performance Staff of the Edmonton Oilers.
Hockey player development is a multifaceted process that requires attention to skill training, physical and mental conditioning, and effective coaching.
By focusing on these areas, players can improve their performance and contribute significantly to their teams.
This week we are joined by, TD Forss, Head Athletic Trainer, Chad Drummond, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Joel Jackson Assistant Strength Coach for the Edmonton Oilers.
Coming off their epic run to Game Seven of the Stanley Cup Play offs we’ll discuss:
· Off season training
· The transition from off season to pre season/ in season.
· The roll of testing & what to test
· In season management – I’ll ask you guys about the deep run into the play offs & shorter off season.
· Year-round hockey and balancing development & competition injury prevention and some of the trends you guys are seeing.
I often say, “If you want to know what to do look to the pro’s.” and that is exactly what we do this week as we kick off season 18 of Krush Performance.
