Today, we take a look behind the scenes of two incredible developmental cultures, a college hockey team that went undefeated (36-0) and one of the most successful high school baseball academies in the world.
We’ll talk with Les McTavich, Head Coach and Director of Operations at the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball, and Mike Gabinet, former head coach of the Nait Ooks collegiate hockey team in Edmonton who is now Associate Coach with Nebraska Omaha. The Ooks went 36-0 last season and we’re going to find out what went on behind the scenes of this incredible season that allowed this team to go undefeated.
Mike is also the grandson of the great Clare Drake, the most successful interuniversity men’s hockey coach in Canada. What did Grandpa pass on to Mike? We’ll ask him about it.
