Games Galore: September 13, 2017

This week on the Games Galore Podcast, Brian Edwards kicks off the podcast by chatting with Austin Stanley of A to Z Sports in Nashville joined the pod to talk all things SEC, including Tennessee at Florida, LSU at Mississippi St., the legitimacy of Vanderbilt and South Carolina as potential SEC East contenders and the Georgia QB situation.

Brian started the second segment discussing Oklahoma’s win at Ohio St. He didn’t think Baker Mayfield owed an apology for anything and loved seeing the Buckeyes go down. Brian has been extremely bullish on Lincoln Riley for a long time, especially back in his days at East Carolina. He and Harbo drift off to hit on the Hurricane briefly before getting back to praising Riley at the 30:00 mark.

The OU convo turns to Ohio St. and J.T. Barrett eventually, before Brian explains that during his Gatorness dating back to 1980, UF has never (EVER!) started 0-2 in football. There’s plenty of talk about South Carolina, Muschamp, Vandy, Kyle Shurmur and more SEC. Brian also goes through his fresh Power Rankings entering Week 3.

Among many other topics, Brian hits on Jeff Brohm’s impressive early work at Purdue, the impact of the postponed games on all the Florida teams, the Vandy-K-St. showdown, Jon Jones’ B sample, UFC 217 and much more.
