The Valor Hour: Kaitlin Young of Invicta Fighting Championships

Tim Loy and Casey Oxendine are joined by guest co-hosts Jeff Hobbs, Mark Laws, Roy Sanders, and Sawyer Rich to discuss what’s going on in the mixed martial arts community and they are joined by Kaitlin Young of Invicta Fighting Championships to preview the upcoming Invicta Fighting Championships 28 in Utah.

At the beginning of this week’s podcast, the guys take a look back at last week’s UFC Fight Night 125. From the main event bout between Valor Fights alum Eryk Anders and Lyoto Machida to the controversy in the co-main event between Valentina Shevchenko and Priscila Cachoeira, the guys give their unique view on the fight card. Up next, they discuss the changes that have taken place for next month’s UFC 222 with Max Holloway being out of the event due to injury. In addition to discussing those news items, Tim answers listener submitted questions and tells you which fights have been added to the upcoming Valor Fights 48 in Nashville.

Following the news of the new fights announced for Valor Fights 48, the guys bring in Kaitlin Young, the co-matchmaker of Invicta Fighting Championships to preview the upcoming Invicta Fighting Championships event that will take place on March 24 in Utah. Kaitlin tells you what to expect from the fight card and tells you about what’s going in in her fighting career.

Then it’s on the “main event” of this week’s podcast and the guys are joined by UMMAF Southeast Director Justin Brown to discuss the amateur side of the sport. A portion of the conversation includes Justin talking about UMMAF becoming an amateur sanctioning body in the state of South Carolina and they go back and fourth on various topics related to amateur mixed martial arts.
