The MMA Report: October 18, 2017

On this week’s episode of The MMA Report Podcast, Jason Floyd kicks off the podcast by answering listener questions submitted to Jason’s Twitter account and one of the question involves current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.

After answering the listener questions, Jason turns his attention to the UFC as he’s joined by Jared Gordon (17:08) to preview his matchup next week at UFC Fight Night 119 against Hacran Dias. Following his conversation with Gordon, Jason talks about some of the latest news in the UFC including two matchups added to a stacked UFC 218 in December.

Then it’s on to Bellator as Jason chats with Neiman Gracie (40:02) about his fight on Friday night at Bellator 185. It should be noted that when Jason talked to Gracie, he was scheduled to fight Javier Torres. However Torres pulled out of the fight and Gracie will now be facing Zak Bucia. Also in this segment of the podcast, Jason tells you about some Bellator news including the injury that caused former Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary to pull out of Bellator 185.

Following the Bellator portion of the podcast, Jason turns to CES MMA as he’s joined by three fighters that will be on next week’s CES MMA 46 fight card. First, he chat’s with Rico DiSciullo (50:52) about his matchup against Justin King and his love for the game of golf. The second CES MMA interview is with Justin Sumter (1:03:45) to discuss his matchup against Shedrick Goodrige and in the final interview, Marquis Brewster (1:15:58) comes on to preview his fight against Raymond Yanez.

After those interviews, Jason wraps up the podcast by talking about some non-UFC/Bellator news including Ian McCall being announced as a participant in December’s Rizin FF bantamweight tournament. Plus, he let’s you know about the MMA that is taking place this weekend and tells you when to expect the preview podcast to be available this week.
